FAQ

Process of onboarding dev to a new company while they leave yours voluntarily without the need to fire them. Aciety offboard is in a unique situation which arises from Aciety's vast access to over 2000 software services companies and knowledge of their current developer needs. It allows to organize an otherwise very complex process of hiring developer in a new company while Offboarding them from other one at once. Without us, firing developer would be the most likely option, which is costly, damaging to your overall team morale, brand and from now on - usually unnecessary.

The process is customizable, but generally it goes like this:
Evaluating Offboarding:
  1. We have an evaluation call to determine if the Offboarding is realistic in your case and how long should it potentially take;
  2. We send you preliminary conditions: at what salaries, preliminary destination options, and other information to confirm together if to seek Offboarding;
  3. We sign Offboarding agreement at agreed upon conditions (i.e. organizing successful Offboarding process).
Placement interviews:
  1. Once confirmed, we help you communicate this option to dev(s) that will see the changes (either getting fired or Offboarding) to help them accept the better - Offboarding option;
  2. We then organize placement interviews, where they interview for the open positions;
  3. If they pass interviews, they are offered the job;
Signing agreements:
  • Once developer agrees to the job offer they sign either direct full employment agreement with voluntary partition, or a combination:
    1. New job agreement with the placed company: Job agreement with 3 month trial period (at minimum salary during the period and transition to full salary once its completed);
    2. Wilful termination agreement with your company: Conditional wilful termination agreement, which comes into effect once they pass their trial period;
  • You sign the agreement with the company the dev is placed in:
    Transition coverage:
    Company covers you the developer salary for the period of the trial, while you no longer allocate dev other tasks.
Completion:
  1. Your dev completes their trial and becomes employee of the new company;
  2. Your job agreement with the developer expires as wilful termination clause kicks in;
  3. You save upwards of 20 thousand EUR per each such case.

Our networks of scale allow to organize Offboarding in vast majority of cases. Sometimes - within days, but usually - within weeks from the start of active process. We will evaluate your case and form the most expected outcomes within days of the conversation.
