WizRule® - data auditing tool is a business rule detector, analyzes data files to identify entries that do not correspond with your business rules. WizRule is a data auditing software tool to discern patterns in your data and identify the attributes associated with anomalies. WizRule approach is based on the following assumption: In many cases, frauds are exceptions from the rules. WizRule discovers valid patterns in your data and pin-points cases deviating from these patterns (rules) as suspected errors or frauds. The deviating cases (records), having the highest degree of unlikelihood, are listed as deviations (exceptions). This method does not detect cases where a fraud is done repeatedly because such a fraud creates a rule. When a fraud is done repeatedly it creates a rule that deviates from other rules, and as such it is classified by WizRule as an outstanding rule. The outstanding if-then rules are unexpected rules viewing interesting phenomena that may lead to a quick discovery of fraudulent cases. WizRule discovers rules in the data set without being instructed in advance. The rules can be if–then statements or mathematical formulas. The user can ‘fine-tune’ the analysis by defining parameters such as: minimum probability of if-then rules, minimum number of cases of a rule and the types of the rules to search for. The data-fields can be analyzed as Empty to indicate that cases of missing values are informative, then WizRule looks for such rules. WizRule provides quick data insights by displaying the value distribution in each of the fields. WizRule can help the user to understand the various relationships among unrelated fields.

WizRule displays, prints, saves or exports to a database all the rules and all the deviations. WizRule reads all popular databases either directly or through ODBC or OLE DB.
