The Solar Generation project includes representing the MWh of (green) energy as unit of ERC20 token. The idea is that producers and consumers connected to different energy grids exchange those tokens therefore forming a market of green energy certificates for end clients. For the solidity part in this project we have abstracted an energy meter as a smart contract so that updating the meter reading involves movement of assets between the connected peers.

The Solar Generation Company LLC is an energy IOT company based in Silicon Beach California, USA. The Company was founded in 2016 with the strong belief that technology is the new driver of the utility market and that free energy for everyone is attainable by the use of decentralized sharing models, blockchain trading platforms, global trade (arbitrage) and efficient management by machine learning algorithms (artificial intelligence). With the installation in key markets of residential turnkey hardware packages (sold under SolGen license) that include solar panels, storage technology by TESVOLT™ and an AI-powered Smartbox (JOULES™), with options for additional smart home services, the company expects to speed up the conversion process to clean energy in the Scandinavian utility market.
