We had to promote Puccini’s opera “Manon Lescaut” and to increase its ticket sales on a very low budget basis.
Insight
Lobotomy was a neurosurgical procedure that helped to cut off people feelings in order to avoid unwanted emotions. Formerly it was awarded with a Nobel Prize, but prohibited afterwards. “Manon Lescaut” is a story of a young woman trying to choose between love and wealth, so we decided to spice things up by suggesting this neurosurgical procedure as a way out.
Solution
Campaign kicked off with a teaser announcement about a lobotomy clinic, which was soon to be opened in Lithuania.
